We’re pleased to announce our latest promotional video for established author and international cultural expert, David Clive Price. Having seen our book trailer for Routledge, David approached us to produce a business video that would showcase his latest publication ‘The Master key to Asia’.
The brief was to promote the book and convey the client as a credible expert with a video that would help drive viewers to visit his new website too.
As usual we did not just 'point and shoot' or produce 'eye candy' but created a campaign including a stylish video with a clear business objective. David provided an outline script which we reworked until we had honed the message for maximum impact on screen. It was important to be efficient with the script wording because it was a short online video using spoken (rather than written) words. We used our scriptwriting, corporate communication, and strategic marketing skills to ensure the video would integrate effectively with the website and wider campaign. This included advising David to create a unique landing page with a dedicated URL so he could measure traffic from the film using website analytics.

The backbone of the video is the scripted Piece to Camera with the client but we also filmed "Cut-aways" or "B-Roll" footage. In post-production we edited this with photographs to support the dialogue. These shots also add interest which is important to engage the viewer. This is especially true on YouTube's 'video pages' where other 'suggested' videos may be competing for attention. Before uploading to David's Youtube Channel we optimised the film for Video SEO (search engine indexing). We also provided him with the 'embed code' so he could place it directly on his own website too. This has the benefit of improving his websites SEO and provides attractive, 'sticky' content for it at the same time.
